The Pedrógão Bench has a trapezoidal shape (half a hexagon) that refers to the honeycomb of the hives. The analogy between hives and the Association lays in the collaborative work of the bees and in the cohesion of the group.
The benches can be personalized through engraving or painting as it happened in the AVIPG Headquarters project. The benches were assembled and varnished at the headquarters using the help of the local inhabitants although we used a CNC machine to cut the pieces.
The benches have the possibility of being stowed in a bookcase designed for this purpose and free the space for different activities. Each shelf collect 9 benches. In the Headquarters project, however, we created drawers with the shape of the benches top to use as archive.
